# Market Share

**Market share** (under **Insights**) shows your share of routed traffic by chain, method, region, and strategy. It helps you see where you win, where you don’t, and how your pricing compares to others.

## **Market share vs. payment**

Market share is based on **who won the request**—i.e. which provider was selected to serve each request. Your share is the percentage of those requests that were routed to you.

You are **paid for all requests that are sent to you**. Every request that we route to your nodes is billable; there is no separate deduction or subset. So your revenue reflects the traffic you actually served, while market share is the competitive view of how often you won vs. other providers.

## **What you see**

* **Your share** — Percentage of requests (and volume) you received for a given chain, method, and strategy (economy vs performance).
* **Your price vs others** — Your cost per million (or equivalent) and quartiles (e.g. Q1, median, Q3) of other providers’ prices so you can gauge competitiveness.
* **Trends** — How share and volume change over time.

## **How to use it**

1. Go to [Provider → Market share](https://routeme.sh/app/provider/market-share).
2. Drill down by VM, chain, and method as needed.
3. Compare your pricing and share to decide where to adjust [Plans](/provider/plans) or improve [Nodes](/provider/nodes) and [Methods](/provider/methods).

Use this with the [Dashboard](/provider/dashboard) for a high-level view and [Inspect](/provider/inspect) for latency and request-level detail.
