Kaia Kairos Testnet is a public testnet for the Kaia blockchain, identified by Chain ID 1001. Launched in June 2024, it serves as a development and testing environment for developers building on the Kaia network. The native currency of the testnet is KAIA, with 18 decimal places, used for transaction fees and other network operations.
The Kaia blockchain is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible Layer 1 network, developed through the merger of Klaytn and Finschia. It aims to provide a stablecoin infrastructure for on-chain finance and capital markets, integrating with popular messaging apps to facilitate seamless user experiences.
