About Tenet
Tenet is a Layer 1 blockchain network identified by chain ID 1559, utilizing TENET as its native token with 18 decimal places. Launched in April 2024, Tenet is designed to enhance decentralized finance (DeFi) by integrating Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSDs) into its ecosystem. This integration allows users to stake LSDs from other networks, such as stETH, to participate in network validation and governance, thereby increasing security and inclusivity.
The network employs a unique Diversified Proof of Stake (DiPoS) mechanism, enabling the restaking of LSDs as collateral for validators. This approach not only secures the blockchain but also offers users the opportunity to earn additional yield on their staked assets. Tenet's native stablecoin, LSDC, is overcollateralized and backed by a basket of liquid assets, providing an interest-bearing stablecoin solution within the DeFi space.
Tenet is an EVM-compatible blockchain built on the Cosmos network, offering seamless interoperability with other blockchains. This compatibility facilitates the movement of assets across different networks, enhancing the composability of money and simplifying development processes.
