About ADI Chain
ADI Chain is a Layer-2 blockchain network developed by the ADI Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Launched in December 2025, ADI Chain is designed to provide scalable and compliant blockchain infrastructure for governments and institutions, particularly in emerging markets. It leverages ZKsync's Atlas and Airbender technology to deliver high throughput and low transaction costs while maintaining Ethereum-level security.
The network's native token, ADI, serves as the gas token for all transactions and smart contract executions on ADI Chain. It also functions as the settlement currency within the ecosystem, facilitating value exchange among enterprises, developers, validators, and users. Token holders can stake ADI into a treasury-backed pool as part of the network's governance and utility features.
ADI Chain is EVM-compatible, allowing developers to deploy Ethereum smart contracts and decentralized applications with minimal modifications. This compatibility enables the network to support various use cases, including stablecoins, cross-border remittances, tokenized real-world assets, digital payments, and secured healthcare data. Notably, ADI Chain hosts the UAE Dirham-backed stablecoin, issued by First Abu Dhabi Bank and IHC, and regulated by the UAE Central Bank.
The ADI Foundation aims to onboard one billion people into the digital economy by 2030, with partnerships across 20 countries and over 50 projects in the pipeline for deployment. ADI Chain's compliance-native design ensures that governments and regulated institutions can launch blockchain-based innovations without sacrificing speed, efficiency, security, or regulatory compliance.
