Linea is a Layer 2 blockchain network developed by ConsenSys, designed to enhance Ethereum's scalability while maintaining its security and decentralization. Launched in July 2023, Linea utilizes zero-knowledge rollups (zk-rollups) to process transactions off-chain, submitting compressed batches to Ethereum for validation.
