About Astar
Astar is a Layer 1 blockchain network that operates as a parachain within the Polkadot ecosystem. Launched on January 17, 2022, it was developed by a team led by Sota Watanabe. Astar supports both Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and WebAssembly (WASM) environments, enabling developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) using various programming languages.
