About Kaia Mainnet
Kaia Mainnet is a Layer 1 blockchain network identified by chain ID 8217, launched in August 2024 following the merger of Kakao's Klaytn and LINE's Finschia blockchains. This integration aimed to create a unified platform for on-chain finance and capital markets, leveraging the strengths of both networks.
The network utilizes the native token KAIA, which has 18 decimal places. Kaia Mainnet is designed to support decentralized applications (dApps) across various sectors, including decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Developers can interact with the network through several RPC endpoints. For monitoring and exploring the blockchain, tools like Kaiascope and Kaiascan are available.
