HyperEVM is a general-purpose Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) integrated into the Hyperliquid Layer-1 blockchain, launched on February 18, 2024. It enables developers to deploy Ethereum-compatible smart contracts within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, facilitating seamless interaction with HyperCore's on-chain order books.
Operating under chain ID 999, HyperEVM utilizes HYPE as its native token, which serves as the gas token for transactions on the network. The network employs the HyperBFT consensus mechanism, combining Proof-of-Stake and Byzantine Fault Tolerance to achieve high throughput and low latency.
HyperEVM's integration with HyperCore allows applications built on HyperEVM to interact directly with HyperCore's spot and perpetual contract order books, enhancing the composability of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications within the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
The network is accessible via RPC endpoints, with block exploration available through Purrsec.
