About WEMIX3.0 Mainnet
WEMIX3.0 Mainnet is a Layer 1 blockchain network developed by Wemade, a South Korean game developer, and launched on October 20, 2022. It utilizes an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible protocol and operates on a Stake-based Proof of Authority (SPoA) consensus mechanism. The network is secured by 40 decentralized authority nodes, known as Node Council Partners (NCPs), and features a maximum throughput of 4,000 transactions per second with a 1-second block interval.
The native currency of WEMIX3.0 is WEMIX, which is used for transaction fees and staking within the network. The mainnet supports various decentralized applications (dApps), including WEMIX PLAY, a blockchain gaming platform; NILE, a DAO-powered NFT and life platform; and WEMIX.Fi, a decentralized financial platform. Additionally, WEMIX3.0 has integrated the stablecoin USDC.e, collateralized by USDC, to provide price stability within its ecosystem.
