About Metal L2
Metal L2 is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, developed by Metallicus Inc. and launched in December 2023. It operates as an Optimistic Rollup on the Optimism Superchain, aiming to enhance transaction scalability and reduce fees while maintaining Ethereum's security.
The network facilitates seamless integration between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi) by connecting directly to The Digital Banking Network (TDBN) via Metal Pay Connect. This design enables efficient fiat on-ramps and supports token transactions on the Ethereum network.
Metal L2's native currency is Ethereum (ETH), with 18 decimal places. Developers can interact with the network through various RPC endpoints. For monitoring and exploring the blockchain, an official block explorer is available.
